THIS HAS GREAT RESOURCES FOR BIBLE STUDY.
Let me share a verse with you. I prayed for two days waiting for God to speak to me and this is what he put on my hear to share. I pray you find it useful.
Job 22:2 from the King James Version reads:
"Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?"
This verse comes from a speech by Eliphaz, one of Job's friends. The context is important here - Eliphaz is questioning whether human righteousness or wickedness can actually affect God in any meaningful way. He's suggesting that God is so self-sufficient that our actions, whether good or bad, don't actually benefit or harm Him.
The underlying message is that God doesn't need anything from humans - our righteousness doesn't add to His completeness, nor do our sins diminish His glory. This connects to broader biblical themes about God's self-sufficiency and completeness.
After reading this I found myself wanting to explore more about the context of this verse and its relationship to the broader message of the Book of Job?
If you feel like I did I encourage you to read and listen to this verse, chapter and entire book of Job multiple times.
