Proverbs 5:23 in the King James Version (KJV) reads:

"He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray."

This verse concludes a passage warning against sexual immorality, particularly adultery. The meaning is essentially that a person who refuses moral instruction and guidance will ultimately face consequences for their choices. Without wisdom and discipline, foolishness leads one down a destructive path.

In context, this verse specifically refers to a man who gives in to temptation and pursues an adulterous relationship. The passage suggests that such a person:

1. Rejects instruction and wisdom

2. Is led astray by their own foolishness

3. Will ultimately face serious consequences for these choices

The broader theme of Proverbs 5 is about maintaining faithfulness in marriage and avoiding the temptation of adultery, using vivid imagery to illustrate the dangers of straying from the path of wisdom and moral instruction.
